I have worked as an educational specialist for RLA in private practice for the last 17 years. I love the private practice setting because it allows for me to work more directly with each student and their parents. Often the parents are just as involved if not more involved in their child’s learning and our approach allows us to educate and work directly with parents. In 2016 I became a director/owner of the practice with Ruth Levisohn. This practice has become the most important aspect of my educational career. I specialize in one on one explicit, systematic, multi-sensory, treatment of specific learning disabilities, specializing in dyslexia. I am certified with the International Dyslexia Association and have training in multiple research based reading programs (Wilson, Orton-Gillingham, and Lindamood Bell to name a few). My training also incorporates strategies for students with multiple deficits such as language processing, receptive and expressive, significant phonological processing delays and executive functioning. Navigating the educational system can be a challenge for many families and I am so thankful for the opportunity to come along side and support so many.
